You forgot to throw in the argument that it doesn't even matter if it works, just so long as the Chineese don't know it doesn't work. It's an amazing time warp that is arising in the conservative crowd.

I think maybe that Ronald Reagan's brain in a last gasp effort to have a coherent thought reached out just at the same time that Junior Bush's intellectual vaccum was gasping for ideas and star wars II and Voodoo economics II and Evil Empire II all come flooding through the ether. Well, it makes as much sense as your explanation.
