DCH Comments on Recent Stock Activity

VALENCIA, Calif., Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- John Donohue, President and Chief Executive Officer of DCH Technology, Inc. (Amex: DCH), a manufacturer of hydrogen fuel cells and hydrogen-specific sensors and provider of hydrogen safety services, issued the following statement today:

"Over the past two weeks, an unfortunate occurrence appears to have resulted in significant selling pressure on our stock. An extremely large block of shares held by an insider of the company was liquidated as a result of a margin call. DCH fully realizes this event was triggered by legal requirements and was unavoidable by both the individual involved and by the broker who was forced to liquidate these shares. We feel that it is important for shareholders to know that these sales were entirely motivated by the margin call and were unrelated to the company's operational and financial performance or condition. Furthermore, to the best of our knowledge all sales related to this margin call have now been completed."
