Robert. As you can see from the time stamp on this
post I've been up late assessing my potential Stratasys
trade(s) for the upcoming week. I've decided to change
my opinion regarding the recent abrupt sell-off.

As you know, Stratasys is now marketing their 8000 machine
and early sales are expected to be to automotive and aerospace
companies. Recently, a rapid prototyping company called DTM
Corporation (DTMC) made the following announcement:

pcfn.com

A sizable portion of DTMC's target market is North American
automotive and aerospace companies. Perhaps since this is the
target market for the 8000 machine, DTMC's comments caused a
delayed selloff of SSYS's shares? Comments from 3D Systems (TDSC)
about slowing backlog and growth may also be causing some backwash
onto Stratasys' stock price. But then again, maybe these other
companies are experiencing problems because Stratasys is
invading their core market with an alternative product. (I can
see a lot of RP tech people arguing with that statement. < g> )

Since it's easy to have lingering doubts in the face of this info
from TDSC and DTMC, I will definitely be investing in stages.

BTW, here is a link to the rather inactive DTMC thread:

P.S. If I am wrong I would appreciate any surfers out there
correcting my observations.
