My installation kit is an Alcatel ADSL Modem Speed Touch USB. Filters were provided. I was unable to receive faxes, and unable to send faxes. These issues were confirmed with the SBC technicians(they confirmed the hardware fax machine use and the Symantec fax software issues; Symantec confirmed the software issues). I can only convey to you my experience along with everything that was confirmed. Again, fax machines will not function over DSL lines, and Symantec fax software will not function over a DSL modem/line. Remember, the advantage of having a DSL line was the ability to eliminate a second telephone line, right?
