They quote royalties of $10-$12/scooter. Most of the scooter deals are in the ramp-up stage so may require a net investment. Quantities will have to be large before the scooters can fix the ugly balance sheet as reported at the end of the 2001 fiscal year. That balance sheet said "sell." Looking at that annual report, if I did not know a tremendous amount about this company and its technology there is no way I would be interested in investing. Institutions have to be reluctant. No matter how good the outlook, I think Orbital is going to have to show a clearly positive half-year and significant reduction of cash outflow and loss of assets before the price turns around, because Orbital hasn't turned promise into actual cash yet and has been promising "next year" for quite a long time. It will be good to be holding when cash flow turns positive.

Another comment to John - I think Orbital would be earning money now if they weren't investing in the 4-stroke business development and engineering. I think this would mean a substantial staff reduction and the end of any yacht club scenarios as well, but they could be a profitable little 2-stroke company.
