Alomex -- I have no idea when we will have a problem with the dollar, but for reasons you mention we will have one eventually, although I referred to the current account defict and not the trade deficit. Even if the trade deficit is eliminated we will still have a current account deficit. The current account deficit tends to snowball the longer it is allowed to run up as we have more payments to make to service the accumulating foreign obligations.
