Halliburton, Too, a Victim of Asbestos

This is pretty sad testimony to our litigious society... Asbestos is not harmful unless disturbed, pulverized, and released into the air.

And $25 million for someone not showing signs of yet being sick? Ridiculous.

Btw, I wonder if insurers and WTC attack victims are going to argue that had the WTC been completely fire-proofed with Asbestos insulation, would the buildings still be standing today?

They incorporated Asbestos in WTC Tower 1, up to the 40th floor, before it was banned in 1971. Over 5,000 tons of it in those 40 floors alone.

Could be whatever replacement material they used was not up to par with the proven Asbestos fireproofing material of the time.
