Geez pc, this negative attitude of yours (or is that your's) is beginning to get to me...

The good doctor (IJ) negotiated long and hard with the Chinese as we all
know from the amount of time it took to reach an agreement. The low domestic
royalty will 'jump start' CDMA phone production, and when China becomes an
export powerhouse due to low labor costs, we will enjoy the increased royalties
of 7.65% (I believe) on their exports.

Did you notice when the Koreans were complaining about the Chinese royalty rates,
they were offered the same deal as the Chinese and did not go for it. Must be a reason...

Irwin negotiated a WIN-WIN agreement with the Chinese, which from my experience is
very difficult to do. These increased export royalties will have a long lasting effect on QCOM's
bottom line.
