I had to drive to the Piggly Wiggly for milk this afternoon. The radio had been set to 1250AM and low and behold, there was Bob Brinker. It has been months, closer to a year, since I caught much of his show. The first caller I heard: He had invested in a Dreyfus muni fund and he had lost $15K over the past few months. Bob asked if the caller knew why? The caller says, "Yea." Dreyfus had explained to him that a lot of the holders of that fund had redeemed their shares, so they had to take the money out of his account. Look, that's what I heard. Bob seemed to shrug it off, maybe the caller should pay better attention to his investments. Next call, thanked him for his call almost two years ago. Next call, thanked him again. Next call, thanked him again. Next call, well, I'm slipped in a Nick Drake CD and there was no next call. Five years has covered a lot of ground vis a vis he B-man. His show has become a shadow of it's former self. Spin it as function of a bear market, the one where he stays 40% long. A
