While the SI admins were wrestling with whatever demons were plaguing the system, I checked out some stuff on Motely Fool. I don't know how much validity to assign this post (it may just be a joke), but for what it's worth: .....BTW, I will now tell you some insider info. Don't get too excited. AMD got an itanium system to evaluate (surprise?). How do I know? I walked by one of the fellows who had just finished his part of the evaluation of it. How could I tell? He had his face in his arms & he was laughing so hard he was literally crying, and I asked him if he was ok which is when he told me about it (ok, that's not exactly the truth, but it's mighty close to it). I think productivity in the area where the itanium system is sitting has gone way down because the guys just keep pointing & laughing & aren't getting any work done. Anyone want to help us out? Please, any bids to buy this junk will be considered??? (sarcasm, guys, I don't think I could convince mgmt to dump it, winter is here & we may need a space heater!) ;D Thoughts & comments???
