Carolyn You can launch msconfig by going to Start/Run/type "msconfig.exe" (no quotes) and get a look at what is loading at the start. You can also check in your program files/startup folder for additional programs loading. Here's a couple of links explainimg what each loaded program does and whether you need it or not.
