Popular 'speed'/building is Ethernet speed. Why anyone, in his sane mind, would need 34 MBit/s -a bundle of 16x2Mbit/s developed to interconnect telephone switches- in a building. People have Ethernet cards in their computers and Ethernet jacks in their walls. They don't have SONET/SDH rates cards.
