I think the conversion to the Euro on Jan. 1 will be a fiasco. For a while there will be two currencies, and cash register checkers will have to do currency conversion equations along with ringing up the items to be purchased. It will be a ponderous process. How many sales will be lost because people won't want to wait in line to buy a nonessential item? No doubt there will be an impact on the economy. And counterfeiters are probably salivating....
