Interesting figures Eric L. posted at the Speak No Nokia Evil Board.

Appears that GSM may be at a point where growth will slow substantially. I interpret the TDMA growth as being concentrated in North and Latin America. Though a trend, not one which will continue in the long term since TDMA is a legacy.

Very interesting figures. The future battle in NA and LA will be between GSM and CDMA, head-to-head, mano a mano. Nokia will offer the GSM carriers super deals on handsets. With its name recognition, many consumers will migrate to GSM solely to buy Nokia handsets. On the other hand, CDMA carriers will offer better deals because of their lower costs.

Will the consumer go for the best deal from a carrier or will he/she go for the Nokia set with the pretty covers?

Marketing will be the key, IMO.
