13:04 ET KEMET Corp (KEM) 18.46 -0.02 (-0.1%): Announces that will cut 1600 jobs and take a $25 mln charge in the Dec qtr; annualized cost savings are estimated to be about $30 mln.

[Harry: Wireless demand can't be that good on the handset side. KEMET makes analog discrete components. There was not over building of capacity since the barriers to enter are low and margins are traditionally low. Given that more layoffs are expected, the projected demand going forward must be weak.]
