The NASDAQ, finished at 1987 today which is still below 2000 but less than a full 13 points below strange as it may be. On November 7, 2000 election day when George Bush was elected the NASDAQ stood at 3400. By the time he was inauguarated wall street was so ecstatic about his arrival it had fallen to 2600 in anticipation. Hopefully, the bleeding has stopped now that corporations are getting bail outs at the expense of the people.
