The release of extremely material information one minute before the close of trading is much more serious.

I don't know when the release was made, but looking at the Time and Sales, there was no drop before the close - the last trade was at $22.35 for 100 shares at 16:00:13. There were a few trades after hours near that price, but nothing of any size (the biggest I see is one trade of 6k shares at 16:02) until the trades at the "new" price of around $13.50 at 16:08.
