Maybe I should occasionally visit the company's website. A year-end update from management would be most welcome. October 26th 2001 Lackawanna Mill reaches 75% of designed capacity levels. The CanFibre mill in Lackawanna reached and sustained production volumes and quality at the designed capacity desired for this facility. Reaching this level of production was very satisfying for the CanFibre mill management team. With the untimely bankruptcy of the projects engineer and general contractor, Stone and Webster, the CanFibre staff supervised the completion of construction and installation of the equipment. The project was completed on time and on budget and was followed by a normal ramp-up. The first starter board was produced in the first quarter followed by production of AllGreen Premium grade in the third quarter and certification of a fire rated grade at the start of the fourth quarter. The plant will now focus on expanding the product line into more value added MDF products including MR, Lite board and other Fire Rated Products. canfibre.com
