re: Most analysts expect Intel's
second-quarter sales to be about 8 percent higher than the first quarter. I'm now
hearing chatter that quarter-to-quarter sales could actually be down, perhaps by more
than 5 percent. This is all unconfirmed. I only mention it because it comes from some of
the same sources who were telling me way ahead of the news (which, unfortunately, I
never published) that Intel was slashing prices on its Pentiums by a
greater-than-expected amount.>>>>>

Intel publicly stated about a month ago that their Q2 revenue would
be approx. 5-10% LESS than 1Q. I believe current stock price reflects this and possibly a flat 3Q as well. If Q2 revenue comes in above
a 5% decline, this will probably be interpreted as good news. One
thing to remember is Intel's PE is cheap (compared to its growth rate) and will be even cheaper after Q2. Intel is a strong buy at these levels.
