aj, i agree with that, i use macs and pc's and have resisted upgrading a lot of stuff for a long time, and the super growth years of the pc are probably behind us, but
i think there are a lot of people out their like me, and the friggen computer industry is bent on keeping everybody on this upgrade cycle,
When somebody hands u off a disk or a file built on adobe illustrator 10 and you haven't upgraded since AI 6, your in trouble.
Even though the newest upgrades in software don't always provide big benefits to the largest group of users, it almost becomes like your annual car license, because you have to keep up with the latest,
which uses more mhz, more disk space, more memory
