Let's see how long MSFT holds out without concessions

Well in last 6 months they raised prices over 10%.
They dropped all competitive upgrades from Wordperfect and Novell Netware costing companies at least 50% for their software. They have eliminated most MSFT version upgrades and should effectively eliminate the remaining ones when they drop all support and upgradability for Win98 and Win NT 4.0 by June.
You may say you can live with existing OS's but the only problem is that when all the beholden to MSFT software companies follow suit and stop making programs for those platforms as well just wait and see how fast companies upgrade their computers.

Can you imagine working with computers without updated virus definitions or when new high capacity tape backup solutions don't have driver support. Rest assured that Microsoft is not blowing smoke when they say sales will rise dramatically in 2nd half of 2002.

Buy your software now or be ready to pay at least 10% more in July.
