Air Methods' Products Division Awarded Nine Contracts Totaling More Than $5 Million
DENVER, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Methods Corporation (Nasdaq: AIRM - news) announced today that its Products Division has received nine separate orders totaling more than $5 million. The nine orders include a previously disclosed contract with Sikorsky Aircraft Company (Sikorsky) to produce another five HH-60L Multi-Mission Medevac Systems which commenced during the third quarter. The orders will be delivered by March 2002.

The orders are with eight different customers including original equipment manufacturers, hospitals, aeromedical service providers, and government agencies. Air Methods will be providing emergency medical service and multi-mission interior systems, avionics systems and airframe accessories.

The Sikorsky contract is a continuation of the US Army's defined long-term requirement to field 357 HH-60Ls in an effort to modernize a critical medevac capability. Although not finalized, the Products Division expects eight units to be funded in the FY02 US Department of Defense Budget in commencement of the formal production phase. This is the first year in the program's history that funding was included in the President's budget.

``Air Methods continues to expand its leadership position in the design, manufacture and installation of state-of-the-art interior systems for a wide variety of applications,'' said Michael Prieto, Vice President. ``We are pleased with the order flow and are confident that in 2001 we will meet or exceed our 15% top and bottom-line growth objective for the Division.''
