| I had a "great" experience with a caesarian. There was fetal distress, and labor was taking too long, so they rushed my wife into surgery, with me holding her hand (wasting all of that Lamaze training, incidentally). I was by her head, with a sheet obstructing my vision, but it was still weird, and like I was in shock: as if it were a movie rather than happening to me. I looked to see the baby, around the sheet, and the way they were lifting the abdomen after incision reminded me of the a grocery bought chicken, with the hole at the end of the breast. I especially detested the spinal anaesthetic, since it has a risk of paralysis. However, all was well that ended well....... |
