I think anger at someone who would do something like the 9/11 attacks is entirely justified.

If you are angry at the right people or things for the right reason and you harness your anger it can even be a good thing. If the anger becomes uncontrolled rage it is usually bad, not just because it can cause you to last out at the wrong targets or in the wrong way, but because it can "addle the brain" and cause you to fail in your attempts to take whatever measures are needed to deal with the target of your anger.

I think even controlled and properly targeted anger should be something that is properly felt only rarely. If your angry all the time, even if you don't lash out in rage you probably will not have a very good life.
