Yes and he also was portrayed as a poor cleric, yet he lived like a sultan. All the while, from his opulent home, he told his people to fight to the death. Then when death came looking for him in Kandahar, he made a deal and ran away like the coward he is. So much for martyrdom. I guess Omar doesn't believe in martyrdom anymore than Osama. So why is it that the common man in the Middle East believes in martyrdom? Is there a culture of death-lovers in the Middle East? Why is everyone drinking the kool-aid there? Wake up, folks! Use your brains!
