Yet, I think many believe that to be angry, you must feel rage. You must feel your pulse race, your head pound...you must scream out your anger,swing your fist and lash out.

Many who have lived with violence in their families have learned to control their anger. That doesn't mean that the feeling is denied, it is put into some positive action. Acknowledging anger does not require a violent reaction.
