Brian, that article is to be ignored because it is deliberately misleading. For example >Stocks in the group have soared over the past three months: Lam Research has gained 48.4% since Sept. 21, while Credence has soared almost 79%. Applied Materials has risen 48%.<

Conveniently he does not mention the 9/11 drop [which far exceeded the drop of the SP500] and that AMAT, for example, is barely back to its pre-attack price.
