Blair wants to see Israel agreeing to withdraw from Palestinian Authority areas in return for security and terrorism guarantees from Arafat.

As we know, Arafat will be happy to give such guarantees. After all, he gave them at Oslo in 1993, and he gave them at least 14 times in the last 15 months (5 times in writing, 9 times verbally). What's one more time?

Sheesh, I've noticed that Blair does NOT take this trusting attitude when he's talking to the IRA! I guess when the bombs are on your doorstep things look different.
