I think the key point is that Bob is inconsistent as he remains to this day. He calls it a mania but invests in it anyway. He says it's a casino but invests in it anyway. He calls it overpriced but invests in it anyway.

Today, he's holding on to a still substantial position in the NAS100 while thinking that the market is historically over valued and that we're in a CTR. He sold out of the QQQs but bought back in immediately. Why didn't he just stay out?

It's curious. He's hedging a lot which runs counter to my understanding of market timing. I would have to say he's only partially a market timer, partially a long termer and not at all a trader.
