The Armada 1585DMT is available today through traditional Compaq retail outlets. Compaq's Armada 1585DMT: The Fully Integrated Business Notebook
Built to include everything a business person needs to access and manage information while on the road, the Compaq Armada 1585DMT offers customers a 33.6K/14.4 data/fax modem, 12X Max CD-ROM drive-(1), removable diskette drive and an integrated AC adapter. The new Armada 1585DMT is priced at $3,699-(2), and comes standard with a 150 MHz Intel Pentium processor with MMX technology, delivering business customers the speed and multimedia capabilities for on-the-road and in-the-office tasks. The new model features a large 12.1-inch Thin Film Transistor (TFT) Active Matrix Flat-Panel display, 16 MB of EDO memory (expandable to 80 MB), a 2.1 GB hard drive and an Enhanced Smart Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery. The Armada 1585DMT also features a dual function bay, making it easier for customers to remove the diskette drive and replace it with an optional second Enhanced Smart NiMH Battery for longer lasting PC power.
