Claude...here's s'more education fer ya, since you seem to be a leeeeettle bit behind on your homework...
You asked me if I saw who was on the board, and you asked my why I associated DB with any financing.
Do you even know how a private placement is placed, especially by the Canaccord underwriter types?
I'll be happy to educate you -- if you can stand the inevitable insults postings by Wayne who is busy having an ulcer over his being obviously too deep into BAY that are as sure to follow as night does day...
Canaccord is NOT a good sign...but<sigh> you'll learn. You'll probably hear about Tim Hoare in London and his band of merry buyers, and then there is the "bad" money in France that you go to because they don't dare step foot outside of their borders due to "interested parties" seeking "appointments" with them...and then there are the cattle call luncheons in Germany ...oh yeah, good ole Canaccord..and that ain't ALL they do...That stuff just mentioned is the "legit" moves...
You see, Claude, doing a funding deal with Canaccord's help is the same as admitting to the INFORMED and EXPERIENCED world that there is no "domestic" funding available from normal and customary "funding" channels. And that is not because "money is tight and times are hard"...it means that shopping around this deposit and the desire to finance it all the way through bankable feasibility and into the production phase, including more drilling step outs, infill et al, I mean, Canaccord is just about theeeee bottom of the funding barrel for a Canadian mining company. That bunch is nearly ALWAYS the outfit that shows up when no one else wants to work with an outfit. Them and Yorkton usually compete for the dregs has been my experience over the years..
Frankly, Claude, Canaccord's appearance is tantamount to the seal of approval by Osama Bin Laden or OJ Simpson on Baywatchers' future hopes and dreams.
Think I'll go dig up another Canaccord stung VSE, [COMPENSATED] promoter who posts on this SI forum occasionally...a former enemy now buddy who MAY, MAY be willing to enlighten you about Canaccord...I'll go check to see if he's still on SI. Maybe he won't want to make an appearance, depending upon what HE's touting nowadays, but maybe he'll favor me with a "quote" I can share...never know
and I haven't even told you what one of Canaccord's most famous little unpleasant surprises for post-financing shareholders [in at lower levels] tricks is yet AFTER the low-ball financing is completed (or the next ppm as Zardoz pointed out) How they are still allowed to operate after all their shennigans is a testimony to the wild wild west being alive and well in Canada I guess.
