Daschle just announced on NBR that the important economic stimulus package is dead for the year. To make such an irresponsible statement ("dead ...year"); on the 19th of December, demonstrates how much more important vacation is to the Democratic party over needy Americans.

This is a terrible shame, as the party for the little guy is now the party that screws the little guy.

This is also very sad, as Tom Daschle grew up from humble backgrounds, was the first in his family to attend college, and worked for the government. Daschle's actions today declares that he does not remember his beginnings, for it is the power that he enjoys at the moment. Go ahead Tom, screw the average American. Your presidential dreams are now just that.
