As Qualcomm has stated ad nauseum, whether it's one patent or 100 patents, the royalty stays the same.

Of course.

Not all patents are "worth" the same. From my understanding, the earliest of their patents are very valuable. As they expire, perhaps a license from Qualcomm will not be necessary.
