Down in sympathy: biz.yahoo.com

The pipeline battle has been moved to TX, but it's still a battle nonetheless. DYN brought $1.5B and ENE brought the pipeline to the bargaining table, both in good faith, at least initially. But now it's a fight. Best case scenario: DYN gets the pipeline assets, and soon. Worst case scenario: ENE keeps the pipeline and DYN gets into another battle alongside hundreds of other creditors. Bet Watson is kicking himself now for doing the "Ready, Fire, Aim" thing on the merger. Even a competitor's CEO, a major industry insider, could not see how bad things were at ENE. The deal was really too good to be true, but he got greedy. No matter which way it goes, now is probably a good time to be a lawyer in Houston.
