India is definitely seeing the nexus between 'Islamic extremists' and Alqaeda dismemberment. In my opinion, the attack on Indian Home of democracy is a very well thought, well-planned measure. This in spin and in tactic and evil design is equivalent to Saddam's attack on Haifa and Israel during the Gulf war. He wanted Israel to retaliate to depict his war as war between Israel and Arabs. The result would have not been much different even if that Gulf war was designated as Arab- Israel conflict, but restraining action of Israel helped the coalition led by US to finish the job clear, nice and great.
Here the strategic tactics are similar, the terrorists ideally want to get India attack on Pakistan through LOC, the 11th Corps of Pakistan is very thin now a days, 30,000 plus man are patrolling the historically never un patrolled Durand line, now on that Akhnoor axis, Pakistan lies thin, Indian knows it well, it was Pakistan strategic nightmare and India's golden opportunity to push. However if Pakistan will be pushed hard the options are limited for Pakistan. Set the war of words aside I think that Mr. Vajpayee totally understands our present government dilemma. The Pakistanis are caught between hard and rock, on one side we have millions of John walkers on the other the majority who have nothing to do with these walking John walkers are brainwashed with message from Allah that victory is for the John walkers like brainwashed terrorists. Once India attacks Pakistan, what happnes that by default Alqaeda and these terrorists become ally of this nation, a new war would be waged agaisnt 'Infidels' and forget the removals of tentacles and pressure on Global Terrorist Inc. Look at this, this 101 plot to destabilise our region, the heat on the terrorists is now bearing fruits, we as nations would have to counter the temptations albeit they may look good opportunities to retaliate. Lets not walk in to their ploy!! That is my plea.
The Koran rules supreme, it injunctions remind them of the holy war these crooks are engaged it, the visions fails. them time and again but the mind refuses to accept these failures as stunning defeats The Islamic societies are riddled with colossal error of judgment, the mother of all defeats after 100,00 Iraqis surrendered their arms and lost the Gulf war was finally declared as mother of all victories. False victories run in the genetic programming of some of these extremists’ elements, the struggle from nowhere to nowhere consume them, the hatred blinds them. Now, what are the options remaining for India...? war is not one in my opinion, it has to be steady pressure to get rid of this sanctuaries and safe havens, India should help the moderates in Pakistan to get rid of the extremist element that is the way out.
1- An open war with Pakistan would lead to catastrophic destruction for Pakistan and may be little for India. India can devastate Pakistan militarily but the cost can be horrendous, and the result would be another 130 m Muslims becoming a part of the Indian nation. Right now the 150 m in India are subdued they are Indians first and Muslims second once Pakistan boundaries are out, we will see a dismembered fragile ex-Pakistan a natural geographical magnet for scattered Muslims of India . Right now most of the time sectarian violence consumes these fanatics in Pakistan. Once the country is dismantled after a catastrophic war, the realignment of the new Islamic power just on demographic will help a new bigger force in the sub-continent. The Indians need to understand that disappearance of Pakistan will not mean disappearance of 300 m Muslims in India who in sub-continent can be force multiplier to enforce a new doctrine. Right now with Pakistan economic fortunes and strategic nightmares and infighting, no one presently fancies in India to look at Pakistan, but Islam is a greater bond in the society than nation, once that border is taken out, new problems would start. The division of the sub-continent was the best thing for the sub-continent otherwise; the extremists would have not allowed Indian democracy to survive. The separate development pattern until we grow to respect life and our obligations as human being with equal fervour was a great blessing from providence.
Why it is so that India is a democracy and Pakistan is not? The reason being the 'ideology' that leads the nation towards strong man is engrained within Muslims and not in Hindus, by nature one is aggressive other peaceful. I have no doubts that Pakistan has learned a lot of lessons from misadventures in past, I could not have conceived that post 11th,Sept the government would be able to take and get way with a stance that in it self is a big step forward. Nation builders are great people, they act with certain rationality and nation building is a time consuming affair more so in ideologically infested regions like Pakistan, here we have seen a definite progress, lets not burn the bridges, lets work towards cooler and snare heads to prevail, that will ensure long term stability. On the higher echelons of our country, this gesture of nicety to distinguish between 'extremists' and normal people shall never be forgotten. I see that the best way to fail the terrorists is not to given into their well placed traps, this war of minds, we need to open and discuss these issues for our survival and I taken that common people like us can contribute to greater understanding. If I am courageous, it is my duty, I take no credit I will hate myself if I am not able to talk straight and pour my heart. India is a great nation, I have always expressed that I take pride in my stock as an Indian and not an Arab, I would love to see the present bridge to be consolidated, I have in my surroundings yet to encounter a single people who does not realize that our future lies with India and we understand it well. The problem is the man with gun and beard has far more vicious and aggressive agenda, the buyers of hate rarely listen to reason and make wrong decisions, a right decision today would go miles, a hot headed decision would destroy us Pakistan.
I only think that why should 140 m pay price of adventure of handful few, the solution has to be ala Afghanistan, remove the cancer and implant new fresh people, luckily we don't have these cancerous cells in ascendancy lets just foil their efforts to start a new war in a nuclear infested region where possibility of using uncontrolled nuclear weapons to decimate already poorest segments of humanity looms large. This kind of post endears me to no one but this one is from the heart. The Indians think, I am trying to save Pakistani skin, and the Pakistani accuse me of being soft and appeaser or a man with agenda. However facts are always bitter and no nation in the world has absolute truth at its mercy, it is always 'mix' of two positions that reconcilement or reconciliation is possible.
