Cashews and Raisins? Now that is a new one on me...is this a homebrew of your own invention? It's a friend's recipe, adapted from a cookbook to suit the rainy season in Seattle. Beer as well? McMenamins or Pyramid Lager? The beer makes it! For some reason, it doesn't turn out the same with something like Budweiser. I've used Pyramid Wheaten Ale and Fat Tire. I think anything with a little more body and taste (that you enjoy drinking by itself) should work great. :o) John
