fyi - Calpine Overstated Cash Paid For Income Tax In Last 10-Q --

WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--Calpine Corp. (CPN) said it overstated the amount of cash it paid for taxes for the nine months ended Sept. 30 in its most recent 10-Q filing.

According to a regulatory filing released late Thursday by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Calpine said the correct amount for cash paid for taxes for the nine months ended Sept. 30 should be $114.7 million.

In its 10-Q filing released Nov. 14, the company reported that it paid $584.1 million under the entry in the supplemental information portion of the consolidated condensed statements of cash flows.

Company officials couldn't be reached immediately to provide further details about the error.

Calpine, of San Jose, is an energy company.

This doesn't affect FFO... and given that they gave guidance on cash taxes in following years, I don't think this will have an affect on anything at all.
