***OT***Hyundai Corp*** I apologize for this offtopicness of this message but I suspect someone here can help me. My mother (age 66) is thinking about buying her first "foreign" car. I tried to talk her into a Camry, but she found, for much less money, the Hyundai Sonata. At first I gasped, but after driving the car I was shocked at how much I liked it. My question for this group is about the stability of the company. Will they likely be around in 10 years to honor the 10 year powertrain warranty? I know that Hyundai has an electronics division, so I figured someone here would know something about the stability of the company. The downside of the 19,000 car, full loaded (compared to $27,000 for a similarly equipped but lesser warrantied Camry or Altima) is that resale value is worthless. As long as the company is solid for the 10 years that ma will drive it (hopefully...she drives a whole 5000 miles per year), I don't care about resale.
