The Liberation of SUDAN would stablize both the moderates in Egypt and Saudi Arabia and Ethiopa and Kenya. SUDAN Christians have been the target of the Al Qu'ida islamic republic's genocide, and liberating Sudan would position the US for the more prolonged incursions necessary into Somalia and Mozambique. Do not forget the need for standard land army support, i.e. TANKS, in Mogadishu. WE can not do everything from aircraft carriers as Les Aspin and our men on the ground unfortunately found out there.
Do not forget the southern Philipines, the islamic terrorists there, on former US soil, are bcked by Libya and armed by Communist China. Communist China has armed the Taliban and Pushtan tribes that dominate Pakistan's ISI secret service, this whole thing was to destablize Pakistan, and their plan was to form a Pushtan Pro-Communist Chinese unified Afghanistan and Pakistan, in order to further destabilize the inroads of the moderates in Iran, return Iran to an Khomeni radical Talib form of Shiite fundamentalism, and delvier all that OIL in Northern Iran and the Caspian Sea Basin to Communist China through Afghanistan and Pakistan which both border China, and also through Pakistan's warm water ports......The Chinese seeking to copy the USSR Russian invasion plan really.
To this extent, the Talib have been trying to pull Pakistan into a war with India. Same people and same backing.
