Looking closer at GPS, it seems that they are having difficulties in several areas. Imo, a retailer who has the right merchandise at the right time can overcome myriad problems. Otherwise, those problems show up and bite. So I look at it as though GPS just doesn't have the fashions that people want.

But people are still buying clothes. Well young Americans anyway. (I presume)

So somebody has got to be selling clothes and getting money that would otherwise go to GPS.

I've posted here I bought Quicksilver.

This am. I also started a small position in Gadzooks (GADZ). It has decent numbers - p/sales and very little long-term debt.

Negative of course is that both these mall companies depend on being able to anticipate/cater to fashion whims of pre-teens and teens. Females.

That has led to the demise of many companies!!!!!!
