I have noticed that many times there is an almost opposite slant between the 'headline' and the story content. 'Nortel Announces Grim Q4 Expectations' sounds like bad news, but the update seems to be more positive than market expectations. Seems that have stabilized their rev decline, improved their credit picture, reached cost reduction goals, and exceeded EPS expectation ($-.16 vs $-.18). Looks like good progress, especially when compared to that bowser LU. Anyone have thoughts as to this announcement? Exceeds, meets, or doesn't meet your expectation of their current state? Kenneth posted that he believed that Q1 was the really critical quarter; seems so, as that is when people will be expecting an end of the tunnel (yes, probably prematurely).
