Techie, I agree that MSFT is one of the engines for the market. However, it has great YOY percentage gain comparisons (it bottomed in Dec. 2000) and it is a compelling buy for funds because most of their DOJ stuff is behind them.

CSCO is taking market share, and you could make a good spin story for their situation improving.

The main thing is that there is going to be money coming into the market, and if you are an index fund or a growth fund, you more or less have to buy these two stocks. It is a process that steamrolls.

In 10 out of the last 10-years, we have gone higher in January than the end of December. That is not something I would bet against, techie.
