Yeah.

Look at the way they knew Rambus would be the dominant memory today way back in 1999 - when poor AMD thought Rambus was a dead end and went with DDR.

...Intel's understanding of the market is perfect.

And look at the way Intel has known for years that SOI was a useless waste of time, while IBM, AMD, and Motorola were using resources to develop SOI production processes and designing their transistors and cells to benefit from SOI.

...and their ability to forecast technical direction is amazing.
