I know, I know. Heh. The NDX will fall to 500 only AFTER I cover or go long. That much is sure. -g- Then, one fine Spring day, if a pi$$ ant bites a corporate fathead on his hidden hands, they will use that as the sole excuse for a 1000+ point NDX plunge. Subsequently, a hoard of bombastic mediots will come along and tell us that it was "the message of the market" from months ago, and no one should be surprised because the market always knows and tells us what will transpire. Heh.

So... Let us forget about the fact that all three branches of the U.S. government and the postal service have experienced widespread biological weapons attacks. Forget about terrorists flying airplanes into buildings, the Pentagon, and how easily radicals were able to kill thousands of people. Forget about Argentina refusing to pay what they owe, defaulting, crumbling, devaluing their currency, etc. Forget about tech valuations being higher now than in March 2000. Forget about Israel, Palestine, India, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, China, and North Korea. Forget about tax loss selling. Forget about Osama being alive and well somewhere. Forget about the inflating domestic debt bubble. Forget about the fact that we are in the midst of a recession. Forget about rising unemployment. Forget about the utter ineffectiveness of the FOMC. Forget about the acknowledged deficits the U.S. government will incur until at least 2005. Forget about the total eradication of the recent massive "surplus" the U.S. government had. Forget about the Enron mess, the wide exposure to it, and the fact that others corporate entities will likely follow in their footsteps. Forget about the fact that there is no evidence of a pending recovery, but only distant "hopes" of a possible recovery late next year. Forget about the fact that we have elected idiots (on ALL sides of EVERY aisle) to run our country. Let's forget about ALL of that and whatever else comes along. Just buy your tech, and appease the mighty Wall Street Gods. You know who they are.

Saturday rant complete. Heh.

Happy Holidays,
John
