Russ. <Insane behavior don't you think?>

Reminds me of one of the early classic books that pointed out how people behave differently in groups than as individuals.

Probably been 30 years since I read it. Wasn't the title something like. "Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds"? Didn't realize at the time how important the concept of contrarian thinking (which the book introduced me to) would eventually become in my investment and trading work.

To the extent I'm able to detect extremes in investor sentiment, it's been key to telling me when to enter and exit positions. And often pretty close to the beginning or end of important trends or acceleration in a trend.

As important as fundamental analysis is, and it is extremely important, I've gotten most of my biggest gains using some fundamental tools and chart screening combined with anecdotal and conventional sentiment surveys.

The urls in your post contain further confirmation of the opinion I've been strongly & recently expressing; that we're at the beginning of the next major rally phase in selected oil service, oil and especially some of the natural gas stocks.
