To address this problem they can either declare bankruptcy to suspend debt and DC payments (in which case shareholders will lose bad) or obtain fresh money by issuing more equity in which case shareholders lose bad too.
Do you believe the market is willing to buy a secondary from them? Heavens, this story can go on forever.
