kapkan4u: The "blue men and the orange pipes" are just no match for "the new kind of fast" I just noticed that the 1.26 GHz P3 is priced the same as the 1.9 GHz P4 at $251...Corporate America is faced with the purchasing decision of paying usurious pricing for P3's or converting to a "second fiddle" or "dud" processor in the p4...No wonder INTC had to shut down the North American channels of distribution to AMD...If Athy XP's were currently offered by the North American corporate OEM's, INTC would have zero chance of succeeding in the P3 to P4 transition without HUGE slippage to Athy XP...No matter,as you have pointed out, the P4's IPC flaccidity, ensures that over the longer term, not even the AMD stonewalling by corporate OEM's will succeed in keeping superior technology, the Athy XP, out of the North American board room... The "blue men and the orange pipes" are just no match for "the new kind of fast"
