A local radio station a few weeks back had a couple call in that had a 13 year old and a couple younger kids. The 13 year old wanted a snow board for Christmas. The parents said that they would only spend about $260 for one they thought was reasonable, but the boy wanted one that went for $485. And, he told them; "THAT" one or nothing for Christmas. The father was inclined to let him have his wish and give him nothing. The mother felt they should give him something so that he would have something to open on Christmas day, the wanted the radio audience to call in and give their vote. The radio audience overwhelmingly voted for Dad to give him nothing. The couple said that they would call back in after the new year to let the audience know what happened. Although I think Mom was going to pull the kid aside and ask him if he wants to rethink his position.

Interesting.
