Barron's is not the the only one jumping on the biotech "internet bubble bandwagon". The December 31, 2001 issue, "Where to Invest in 2002" carries an editorial on page 52.

It recites the addition of 13 companies to the Nasdaq 100 and that 7 of them are biotechs. Biotechs now comprise 12.7% of the index.

The article then compares biotechs rise to the Internet bubble citing valuations that are "hugely overinflated". Eg. IMCL's P/S of 120 which is "about where AMZN was in early 2000, near the peak of the Internet boom."

Another intersting tidbit is that, "There are 50-100 biotech companies waiting to go public ..."
