Msg from Jane456: ... holding... in DROOY since .90's

Jane,

To your question of "What PM shares do you like?" I must answer
that none of them qualify for a Dave Gore Trade That Make Sense,
and would like to repeat my initial post of a suggestion that the trading
in gold and silver mining companies may now be approaching a climate
like those past dot-com(s) companies where only those who invested
in the beginning when share prices were low in the single dollars
were able to cash in after rapid rises to many tens or hundreds.

Precious and Base Metal Investing
Subject 51846

As for your reference in DROOY, the last post on this thread
where it was mentioned, is as follows.

'I have never liked DROOY so I can't comment on whether
it's a "sell". To me it was never a "buy"! As far as other SA golds
are concerned, I think you should make your decision
on the merits of gold investments, generally,
and not on South African imponderables.
There are certainly no particular political or social problems
affecting SA gold mines. ' - #reply-16765231
Searle and his bud Guree Tom are two SIers i find worth reading,
like russ and heinz [and Don Lloyd, whose austrian thread
shows promise] ..... just stopping in for a minute here guys,
no time to type much, but here's another of Searle's [he is
posting from RSA] - 'the way I read SA golds at the moment,
...' - #reply-16765640

The folks on this thread are profession, sharp and do not play
that pump & dump or hype/bash talk you can find on those
threads created for the company.

I'm still of the opinion that a visit to this thread with purpose
to lay out a template for Dave Gore's Trades That Make Sense
as a filter, will result in one or two stocks that can be carried back
to this thread Dave Gore created for discussion.

My post to Zeev had a garbled message that most threads
like this and those Zeev post on only discuss a small set
of share symbols that have already been showned to be
adapted to methods used by the posters to extract a sell
higher than the buy overall, as in making money.

As for my concern or agenda for posting on this new thread,
it can be stated in the active new thread here on Silicon Investor
called "The Death of Silicon Investor" as it seems that Si is not
in the business plan for the company that has ownership of Si,
and Si is a lost on the bottom line. The fall of Nasdaq with the
technology sector hit hardest, causing the paying membership
on Si to fall, along with posting activity, then its in the interest
of all Si members to help if possible with the health here on Si,
which can be reflected in helping create good feedback between
threads like i am trying to do. Rather than let this thread ramp up
to a stable size using those folks like you that already know the
person Dave Gore, this Dave and others on this thread should
help grow the number of posters that can add quality to the purpose
Dave set forth, leading to more activity that reflects and adds to
what Si stands for in that "worth the cost."

As for precious metals like silver and gold, it can be a double win
on this thread if trading in these does make sense, and if this
sector for investing takes off then this thread will explode versus
those others that missed the train leaving the station. By this
i mean that yes the Zeev Turnip's thread would start to include
the silver and gold trading share symbols, but if as i suggested
you or Dave visited that thread above and bring back one or two
make sense trading now mining shares, that maybe the people
attached to them doing research now might also post on this thread,
and for sure their attachmint to this thread rather than a Turnip's
thread would draw better new folks that need advice form them
people posting here from the precious metals threads.

The following are the names and Si profile urls of those who post
on the above thread, and to me would add greatly to this thread
if if if if if gold & silver prices reflect a great investment or store of value.

Also, that phrase "to move markets" can be attached to the
following event that many gold bugs are waiting for to happen.

Judge To Review Claims In Gold Market Suit
By FRANK BYRT
Dow Jones Newswires
November 6, 2001
BOSTON -- A federal judge said...
... in a civil suit that alleges U.S. banking officials...
Reginald Howe, a Belmont, Mass., attorney...
He filed the suit about two years ago.
Howe says he receives "financial and informational" support
in pursuing his claims from the Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee Inc.,
a Texas-based "civil rights and educational organization"
that was formed "to expose manipulation of the gold market by
certain bullion banks."
... [the] judge[U.S. District Court Judge Reginald Lindsay]
is now expected to decide whether there is enough evidence
presented by Howe for the case to go forward to the discovery
phase, where Howe could force the defendants to produce evidence
and give testimony prior to a trial.
The judge didn't indicate when he would make a ruling on the matter.
... [among] those named as defendants in Howe's suit are:
the Bank for International Settlements...
Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan,
William McDonough, president of the Federal Reserve Bank
of New York, and Lawrence Summers, former secretary
of the treasury.
Bullion banks... The ones named in Howe's suit are:
Citigroup Inc. (C), Goldman Sachs Group Inc.(GS),
Deutsche Bank AG (DB), and J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (JPM).
-END-

If you wish for more info on above i will supply it.

Also, if Dave Gore's Trades That Make Sense includes trading
in the physical gold itself, then the Si profile for above Claude
includes url links for what is termed using physical gold as money,
and this is an avenue to collect the physical gold as either that
store of value for trading, or as money if your Piggy Bank is empty :o)

Also, thanks for your reply to me as i get very few to my posts,
as my poor English grammer prevents many from understanding
what i am thinking. Just the result of being a highschool dropout
which a few profession folks here on Si find me not suitable for
any kind of give and take in discusssions. As if i a homeless man
entered a library to get some education and a profession person
asks the librarian to show me the exit using the back service door.
